Stelios Rokkos
Stelios Rokkos is one of the most successful and timeless Greek singers and songwriters. He started singing and playing guitar professionally in his hometown, Lemnos, in 1984. At the age of just 15, he toured in Europe, America and Israel as a guitarist alongside renowned Greek artists. His unique voice and way of performing, as well as his rock appearance, made him stand out. In the beginning of his career, he wrote and performed the song “Avgoustiatiko Feggari”, which was included in his first album, released in 1992. At the same time, he wrote songs performed by other artists, such as Makis Christodoulopoulos, Themis Adamantidis and Stamatis Gonidis. In 1994 he released his second album, “Smaragdia Kai Roympinia”, which was a great commercial success and established him even more. Being a very creative artist, Stelios Rokkos has released albums that received platinum and gold sales awards and dozens of timeless songs. Among his hits are; “Smaragdia Kai Roympinia”, “Karavani”, “Apopse Tha Ginis Diki Mou”, “San Agrimi”, “Sto Xa Pei”, “Ageras”, “Ponaei I Agapi”, “Megales Agapes”, “Mpourloto”, “Tsigara Mpoukalia”, “Emeina Edo”, “Maria Maraki Mario”, “Chantra Chantra”, “Poses Fores”, “Den Eimai Aetos”, “Den Thelo Allo Paramythi”, “Mia Fotia Stin Ammo”, the duets “Oso Eho Esena” and “Zorika Vradya” with Sakis Rouvas, the duet “Me Sena Plai Mou” with Dimos Anastasiadis, the duet “Kouventes Antrikes” with Vasilis Karras”, “Etsi Agapao Ego”, “Ola Ta Ho Dokimasei”, “Zo Megales Stigmes”, “Thalassa”, “40 Kymata”, “S Agapisa”, “Makari”, “Pou Isoun Toso Kairo” and “S Agapo”. As a songwriter he has collaborated with artists such as Sakis Rouvas, Giannis Kotsiras, Nikos Nomikos, Stamatis Gonidis, Themis Adamantidis, Peggy Zina, Vlassis Bonatsos and Lizetta Nikolaou. His live performances are also successful. Among others, he has collaborated with Tolis Voskopoulos, Giannis Parios, Paschalis Terzis, Giorgos Margaritis, Vassilis Karras, Antonis Remos, Giannis Ploutarchos, Natassa Theodoridou, Sakis Rouvas and Peggy Zina. In 2002 he collaborated on stage with the internationally renowned Serbian composer Goran Bregović, while in 2019 he took part in the anniversary concert for Christos Niokolopoulos, at the Athens Panathenaic Stadium, which was attended by over 40,000 spectators.
