Biography
Eleana Vrachali is an award-winning lyricist, writer and poet, who signs some of the greatest and timeless hits of the Greek discography. Celebrating her 20 years in the discography, Panik Records released the emblematic collection “Paidi Diko Sou”, in which artists from the whole spectrum of Greek music perform their favorite song from those written by Eleana Vrachali. She attended musicology and psychology classes, while working as a radio producer and music curator. She made her debut in the case file with 7 songs on the triple platinum album “Kryfo Fili” by Michalis Hatzigiannis, with whom she had a long and successful collaboration, while a similar course followed with George Sampanis. She has written songs with great artistic and commercial success, which have been performed by, among others, George Dalaras, Babis Stokas, Tania Tsanaklidou, Dimitra Galani, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Alkistis Protopsalti, Glykeria, Anna Vissi, Peggy An Zipa, Peggy Zipa Theodoridou, George Mazonakis, Giannis Kotsiras, Sakis Rouvas, Anastasios Rammos, Dimos Anastasiadis, Despina Olimpiou and Pavlina Voulgaraki. In 2011 he wrote the song “Watch My Dance” with which Loukas Yorkas and Stereo Mike represented Greece at Eurovision. In 2012, the cd “Ola Ta Nai Tou Kosmou” was released, based on the book of the same title by Fotini Tsalikoglou, in which 30 artists participated non-profitly and the proceeds were donated to the SOS Children’s Villages association of Greece and the Center for the Treatment of Dependent Persons. In 2009 she released her first book entitled “Aposiopitika”, which includes from her first poems until her recent songs, while in 2014 she released the book “Fylakes Ipsistis Asfaleias”, which was transferred musically through 11 songs which she set to music. George Sampanis and sang George Dalaras and Babis Stokas. She has also performed in Greek the lyrics of the songs of the musical “The Rocky Horror Show”, undertook the musical editing in the theatrical performances “Two Orphans”, “I Zoi Tis Eutuxias Papagiannopoulou” and “Aima Sto Xioni” and wrote the songs of the performances “Athoos I Enohos”, “Sto Psygeio”, “De M Agapas” and “Gynaikes Sta Xionia”.
