
Babis Stokas
Babis Stokas is a renowned musician, songwriter and singer, having a successful career, both as a member of Pix Lax and solo. Alongside with the success of Pyx Lax, he participated in albums by other artists, such as Sotiria Leonardou’s song “Myrodia Kalokairiou” (1995), while he signed the lyrics and music for the songs “Pausilipon”, “Enas Tourkos Sto Parisi” and “Notos” by Lavrentis Machairitsas (1996), as well as in “Perasmenos Aionas” by Stavros Logaridis. He released his first personal album, “Poulia Tis Nychtas”, in 2001, while Pyx Lax were still active. After Pyx Lax were dissolved in 2004, he formed his own band, called “The Gamma Plan”, in collaboration with which he released, on March 2006, his second studio album, “Stin Akri tis Giortis”. In 2008, his live album “Tragoudiste, Min Drepeste”, achieved gold status sales. His third studio album, “Volta”, was released in 2010, followed, in 2012, by the album “I Avli Ton Trelon” with music by him and lyrics by Alkis Alkaios and, in 2017, by the album “Fylakli Ipsistis Asfaleias” with George Dalaras, with music by George Sampanis and lyrics by Eleanna Vrachalis. In 2019, and while Pyx Lax had already been reunited, he released “Apla”, an album with the creative signature of Leonidas Balafas and Panos Dimitropoulos, with ten tracks based on the laiko music genre. Babis Stokas has collaborated with important Greek artists, such as Haris Alexiou, Giorgos Dalaras, Dimitris Mitropanos, Manolis Mitsias, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Lavrentis Machairitsas, Stamatis Tzouganakis, Stamatis Kraounakis, Pantelis Thalassinos, Giorgos Sampanis, Fotini Velesiotou, Leonidas Balafas and Dimitris Bassis.
